The Academy of Achievement offers an Achiever of the Day RSS feeds for students and teachers to learn about the greatest thinkers and achievers of the age. RSS is an easy, fun way to learn about the different Academy of Achievement members in a unique daily syndication. Our RSS feed is free, and contains rich headlines, summaries and links to the Academy of Achievement's extensive collection of exclusive, first person interviews, biographies and photo galleries.

What is RSS?
Really Simple Syndication (RSS) is an XML-based format for content distribution. To start using RSS, you need a special RSS reader, or aggregator, that displays RSS content feeds from the Web sites you select. There are many different RSS readers available, many of which are free of charge. Most are available as desktop software that you download and install on your computer. An alternative to downloading dedicated RSS readers is to use Web-based RSS readers. For example, My Yahoo! or My AOL users can add RSS feeds directly to their personal pages.

Below is a list of popular RSS readers:

Once you have set up your RSS reader, you simply subscribe to any RSS content feeds that you want.

How can I sign up to Academy of Achievement RSS feeds?
Subscribing to a Really Simple Syndication (RSS) feed is similar to subscribing to a magazine. When you subscribe to a magazine, each new issue is mailed directly to you. When you subscribe to an RSS feed, every time an article is published to the Internet, a link to the entry or article is added to your reader.

After installing the RSS reader, you can add each feed manually from the Web site by clicking on the "RSS" orange button next to the feed or by clicking on the web based RSS reader’s options below and following the instructions.

To manually add the Achiever of the Day feed:
1. Click on the orange RSS button that indicates that the site syndicates its content.
2. To find the URL for the syndicated content, right-click the button and click Copy Shortcut.
3. Paste the URL into the appropriate location in your RSS reader.
